Kinsale
& Dingle
Sail
Ireland Charter Base is located at the Trident Hotel in Kinsale,
Co.Cork. The office is located on the ground floor of the
hotel in the corner of the car park. The flleet of yachts
is in our own marina directly in front of the office. Please
contact the office when you arrive.
Dingle
Base
The
marina facility is a public facility. The office in Kinsale
will give you information about your contact and meeting at
the marina in Dingle.
Provisioning
In
both Kinsale & Dingle the main supermarket is located
10 minutes from the marina. Supervalu is open 9.00 to 21.00
all year round - Sundays included. At your request, your provision
will be delivered to the Marina. There is no charge for delivery
which is paid in advance by credit card. There are also many
other shops, delicatessens, butchers, bakeries, pharmacies,
doctors etc in Kinsale & Dingle.
Kinsale
is a town well worth spending at least one night in. The
little winding streets are steeped in history. Kinsale is
known as ' Irelands Gourmet Capital ' with many excellent
restaurants and pubs, some of which offer traditional music
and dancing. It is recommended that reservations for restaurants
on Saturdays are made in advance ( through Sail Irelands
office ).
Dingle also boasts many fine pubs and restaurants.
Security
Deposit
There
is a security deposit of € 1750 required as cover in
case of damage or loss. This is refunded provided that there
is no damage or loss.
Documents
All
skippers are required to provide:
a copy of their passport
a current credit card ( or second form of identification
)
a full crew list with contact numbers ( next of kin )
a signed contract
