A
LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE AND COMFORT NEVER ACHIEVED BEFORE...
o
Nominated for Cruising World Boat of the Year 2004
o Named one of the "Best Boats" for 2004 by Sail
Magazine
Like
the mythical Arpège, the new DUFOUR 44, the 3rd in
the New Dufour Series, will claim its place in the history
of sailing. Years ahead of its time, DUFOUR YACHTS has produced
a yacht with a level of performance and comfort never achieved
before. To meet this objective, Dufour has committed considerable
resources to the use of advanced and proven technologies.
o
Vacuum bagged lay-up of the hull in a PVC/Glass/Kevlar sandwich
guaranteeing absolute rigidity and weight savings.
o
The cored and vacuum bagged deck is one more step in insuring
the strength and integrity of Dufour construction.
These
two technologies, which optimize weight distribution and
the center of gravity, make the DUFOUR 44 a fast boat on
all points of sailing.
Improved stiffness under sail, gentle passage through the
waves, very seakindly, excellent ergonomics of the cockpit
and deck.

to be sailed and manoeuvred single handed.
Standard she comes with a mainsail tackle on the roof, to
liberate the full length cockpit seats.
Fine tune trimming is possible with a track in the cockpit.
